Course Description

This course prepares students for CUET PG admissions into M.Sc. Forensic Science and Forensic Biotechnology programs.

It covers both theoretical and applied forensic science concepts following the official SCQP13 syllabus.

Syllabus Coverage

• ForensicScience: Introduction to forensic science, ethics, physical evidence, chain of custody, police science, crime scene investigation and reconstruction.
• Biology: Forensic biology and serology, DNA profiling, forensic botany.
• Chemistry: Instrumental techniques, chromatography, spectroscopy, forensic toxicology, general chemistry.
• Medical: Forensic medicine, questioned documents, fingerprints, microscopy, basic physics.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science / Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Chemistry / Zoology / Microbiology (as per university norms).
